The Photographer and the Perfect Shot

I will find the perfect shot. I have connections.

There once was a simple little shot. He wasn’t a glamorous shot. Or a picturesque shot. Or even a particularly special shot, really. He wasn't perfect; he was ordinary and real. But the little shot thought he had something special inside beyond the ordinary and real. Maybe if he tried hard enough, someone would recognize his beauty!

He tried jumping up and down but that didn't work. All the other ordinary and real shots thought he was crazy. He tried shouting at the top of his lungs, “Look at me! I'm special!" Still, nobody noticed. The other shots said, "Stop being silly, all we will ever be are ordinary and real shots." Years went by without anyone noticing the little ordinary and real shot who never stopped believing he was special.

Then one day a young man came upon this shot, and saw much more than just the ordinary and real. He saw humor. He saw humanity. He saw depth and beauty beaming from inside the little shot! He said, “Hey little shot, I think you’re cool and funny and beautiful. Can I take your picture?” The shot replied, “It’s about time. I thought you’d never notice.” So the young man took the picture of the ordinary and real shot and it made him happy. So happy, in fact, that he wanted to find more shots like it. To his surprise, he found many more ordinary and real shots just waiting to be discovered. All they needed was a little grooming, a little pep talk to bring out their personality and they too would shine.

Today the young man devotes his time to finding all the ordinary, real shots and helping them to realize their true potential.
